Podere Rocche dei Manzoni di Valentino Bricco Manzoni 2000
This wine fully represents the Langa terroir as it is made of two traditional vines. It has a ruby red color; the perfume is noble with withered rose and flowering almond scents. Its palate is full and delicate; this wine has great and noble qualities. Wine Advocate The 2000 Bricco Manzoni is the current version of Piedmont’s pioneering Barbera-Nebbiolo blend. It features plenty of cinnamon and intensity along with its plum and red berry fruit, a more significant tannic backbone, and good roundness as well. It will last longer than the Barbera d’Alba, at least until 2012. Score: 90. —Daniel Thomases, August 2005.Wine Spectator Aromas of berry, toasted oak and espresso coffee follow through to a full-bodied palate, with an added violet note, big chewy tannins and a long clean finish. Well done. Nebbiolo and Barbera. Best after 2005. 3,000 cases made. Score: 90. —James Suckling, February 28, 2005. Customers who purchased this item also bought:
