As with Amarone, the grapes for Recioto are harvested and then dried in a well-ventilated room until February. Fermentation is stopped before all the sugars have been converted to alcohol resulting in a dessert wine with excellent concentration. Deep ruby color with an intense bouquet of spicy, raisined fruit. On the palate, the wine is round and harmonious with an optimal balance between fruit, tannin and acidity. Full-bodied and luscious with loads of ripe fruit and long, sweet finish. Like drinking a top-class young Vintage Port.
