Antinori Tignanello 2004
Intense ruby red colour. Aromas of incense, cloves and bilberries with a hint of youthful grape aromas. Generous, densely textured and intense on the palate with complex structure and a long. Persistent flavour with hints of chocolate, bilberries and plum jam in the finish. The well-managed tannin blends perfectly with the oak, making this a complex and elegant wine. Wine Spectator Offers aromas of blackberry, with hints of raisin and lots of spices. Full and velvety, with wonderful concentration and a long, rich finish. Very stylish and exciting. Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Best after 2012. 26,665 cases made. Score: 95. —James Suckling, October 15, 2007.Wine Advocate The 2004 Tignanello (85% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc) presents a livelier shade of ruby along with fresher aromatics and flavors. Deeply expressive, it reveals black cherries, licorice, tar and sweet toasted oak on a linear, silky-textured frame of great class and elegance, showing outstanding presence on the palate and fine tannins to round out the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019. Score: 93. —Antonio Galloni, June 2007. Customers who purchased this item also bought:
