Grape Origins: Provided exclusively by Quinta de Roriz from carefully analysed and prepared plots of vineyards.

Consumption: Immediately, although will benefit from some time in the bottle. Decanting and allowing this wine to breathe will bring out its best attributes. Should be served at a temperature of 17ºC.

Wine Advocate The 2005 PRAZO DE RORIZ is a nice value, even with declining exchange rates. It is round and velvety, but with bite on the finish. It has modest depth, although it is quite acceptable for its second wine status. It seems a bit more backward than the 2004 was at a similar time, yet it evolves fairly quickly with air. It will be tasty and a crowd pleaser, fleshy, but tending to thin fast, and having a bright, crisp, flavorful finish. Drink now-2014. Score: 88. —Mark Squires, December 2007.

Wine Enthusiast The second wine from the Quinta de Roriz, an estate managed and marketed by the Symington family. This blend of the classic Port varieties is a good, fresh, attractively balanced wine, slightly lean but with some fine tannins, and fresh acidity. The finish is full of fresh red berries.
