The customer is advised that all sales placed through this website are final, as are all in-store orders. Union Square Wines may, at our sole discretion, accept returns on unopened, intact merchandise minus a 25% restocking fee.
The purchase of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited by law. You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase wine or spirits. By placing an order through our website, you are representing yourself to us as at least 21 years of age. We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity before processing an order. An adult signature with proof of age verification is required at time of delivery. Please be aware that someone over the age of 21 must be available to sign for the package. If no one is available at the time of delivery, the package will not be left. We cannot ship wine to PO Boxes or APO addresses.
USQ is pleased to offer FREE delivery in Manhattan and nearby parts of Brooklyn, with a minimum order of $45. Orders under $45 will be assessed a $10 delivery charge per address. Deliveries going to multiple addresses will incur a $10 charge per each address beyond the first one. Please allow a 24-hour turnaround time on all orders. In some cases, same-day deliveries will be possible, but in general 24-hour turnaround should be expected. More lead time may be needed during holiday or sale periods due to heavy order volume. If you are placing a last-minute order, please contact the store by telephone to verify that we will be able to accommodate you.
For orders outside of Manhattan and Brooklyn, we ship by FedEx Ground or UPS Ground. All orders will be processed within 2 business days. You will be promptly notified by email of any problems or unexpected delays in processing and/or shipping. During times of bad weather, including extremes of heat or cold, we recommend postponing shipping until conditions improve, but we will defer to the customer's directions as to whether to ship or hold. The customer assumes all liability for wines damaged en route due to weather.
Summer deliveries to Fire Island are delivered to the ferry. Please inquire for pricing.
Please note that some states have laws on the shipment of alcohol that prohibit us from shipping to addresses in those states. We cannot ship alcoholic beverages to: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont.
The buyer assumes title of the wines once purchased. By arranging for transportation of the wine, we are providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import any wines into any state. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wine and other goods purchased and for determining the legality and the tax/duty consequences of having the wine shipped to him or her. We do apologize for the inconvenience if your state laws prevent us from servicing your area. If we are unable to arrange for shipping to your state, you might wish to provide us with an alternate shipping address in a nearby state to enable you to make an online purchase. Orders placed on this website are not final. Your credit card is not charged automatically. A charge is put on your credit card after the product has been packed and the order is deemed complete. Please note that all credit cards are verified. You must provide a billing address that corresponds to the credit card you are using. If the billing address does not match the credit card, your order cannot be processed.
Shipping and Handling Costs
The shipping costs are automatically calculated at the time the order is placed. Prices of our wines do not include shipping and handling charges, which vary depending on destination, number of bottles ordered, and any special packaging requests (e.g., original wooden cases, large format bottles). 2% of the total purchase price will automatically be added to your order to cover insurance against any breakage or loss that may occur. In the case that you receive damaged merchandise, you must inform us of any broken or damaged bottles within two business days of delivery. Once the merchandise has been returned to USQ, a new shipment will be sent out. If you would like to decline this coverage please uncheck the acceptance box on the order confirmation page. By waiving the guarantee you relinquish USQ of any and all responsibility for breakage or loss that may occur to your order.
