Having been impressed by a number of exquisite top-flight Burgundies from Joseph Drouhin through the years, we were delighted to find that this modestly priced gem shares the same level of quality as the house's Grand Cru bottlings. Crafted from 100 percent Chardonnay grown in vineyards throughout the whole of Burgundy, this golden-hued wine displays classic aromas of apple, brioche, and subtle notes of marzipan. With plenty of crisp, green fruit flavors and a clean dry finish, the Laforet is an outstanding aperitif. When savoring with food, we suggest matching this with simple roast chicken, whole grilled fish, or tangy salad niçoise.
