In the French Alps, the first two weeks in June is the microscopic window of time in which the fragile Elderflower blossom is ripe for the plucking. In these two weeks, a phalanx of men will hand pick and transport, via bicycle, these precious flowers to St. Germain. This laborious process yields a miniscule amount of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur. This unctuous elixir flaunts notes of peach, pear, lychee, and citrus that seem to float across the palate. St. Germain is outstanding for creative cocktail enthusiasts and a delight with fresh fruit.
