Jack Daniel's differs from a traditional bourbon in that it sources water from iron-free cave springs and uses a slow, charcoal filtration (prohibited for bourbon and rye) after the barrel-aging process. This creates an exceptional smoothness in the finished product. Burnt brown sugar pervades from the glass followed by a spicy, textured palate with notes of cinnamon, licorice, and mineral.
