Sauternes aficionados know Château Doisy-Daëne for their opulent sweet wines, but we've always made a point of featuring their Bordeaux Sec on our shelves as well. While white Bordeaux remains one of the wine world's little known pleasures, bottlings such as these are well worth seeking out. Crafted with 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc, the Doisy-Daëne combines enticing aromas of grapefruit pith, fresh-cut grass, and minerals, with ripe citrus flavors and a fresh, snappy finish. A lovely aperitif, this white Bordeaux works effortlessly with seemingly impossible-to-pair dishes such as asparagus with sherry wine vinaigrette, or steamed artichokes with garlic aioli. Don't be shy about pairing this with your favorite fish dishes either.
