Based in Oregon's Willamette Valley, Rollin Soles' Argyle winery is one of the region's reference points for quality Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. However, Oregon insiders know them best for Champagne-style sparkling wines. The Brut sparkling wine is crafted with both Chardonnay and Pinot harvested from two separate vineyards in Willamette, and offers about as much complexity as one could hope for when going bubbly outside of Champagne. Enticing aromas of fresh baked bread, apple, and citrus rise from the Argyle's lively mousse, while flavors of quince, lemon curd, and biscuit prep the palate for delectable savories such as salmon roe atop salty crackers. Other popular pairings include assorted sushi platters, cured meats, smoked salmon, and salted nuts. |
