After tasting this well-knit, impeccably balanced complex white wine from Friuli while abroad a few years ago, we underwent several rounds of negotiation in an effort to secure an allocation for our New York City consumers. Several years years later, the Stoan has become one of our most popular Italian wines. A little bit white Burgundy and a little Alsace, the Stoan combines Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gewürztraminer for a wine that works well with dishes such as lobster ravioli, teriyaki-marinated salmon filets, and roast chicken.
