This luscious vermentino has been a USQ favorite for almost a decade. Crafted with fruit grown in the sun-drenched vineyards of Sardegna, this succulent wine is just the ticket for quaffing alongside seafood platters and mixed grilled vegetables. In a recent survey of Italy's top vermentino wines, the 2008 Argiolas walked off with top honors, scoring Best of Tasting in its three-star review. Wine writer Eric Asimov noted the Costamolino's "rich, almost oily texture," in the article, and praised its "flavors of lemon, ginger and nuts." At just $14 a bottle, this should replace that bottle of pinot grigio you might have been thinking about uncorking! |
