Washington state-based rocker-turned-winemaker Charles Smith teamed up with Charles Bieler, of Three Thieves fame, to produce this tasty value vino from the Columbia Valley. A 50-50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, the Charles & Charles Red surpasses many comparably-priced wines from California. Ripe berry and cocoa aromas lead to medium- to full-bodied cassis and spice flavors with enough bright fruit on the finish to keep the wine in balance.
