Pierre Chermette is among the growing number of vignerons crafting serious Beaujolais from their Gamay grapes as opposed to the mass-produced and popular Nouveaus. With little-to-no added sulfites or filtration, this vibrant Beaujolais is to the Gamay grape what the Mediterranean Sea is to the color blue. Sweet green herbs and freshly crushed black and purple fruit aromas virtually leap from the glass inviting one sip after another. With juicy, mouth-filling flavors of black cherry and strawberry, this is light enough to drink for lunch and bold enough to serve with roasts at dinner. It's a knockout with grilled fish or roast chicken with parsnip and wilted greens. |
