Dr. Konstantin Frank is one of the pioneering winemakers who helped define New York's Finger Lakes region as a source of world-class white wines. These days the wines are so popular that keeping them in stock during the summer months can be problematic — tourists to the area have been known to wipe out wine supplies on particularly beautiful weekends. Thankfully, the estate bottles a decent amount of wine in the value-oriented Salmon Run series, crafting the wines with fruit from a number of choice Finger Lakes vineyard parcels. The Riesling is our favorite - perfect for slurping down with savory sushi bites or spicy Thai curries.
