The Molino estate's unoaked Barbera is a perfect example of the richer expressions this grape achieves when grown in the vineyards around Alba. The young Matteo Molino works in conjunction with oenologist Beppe Caviola to craft a number of balanced Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo-based wines that stay true to their vineyard origins. This full-bodied Piedmont red won't overpower your roast poultry dishes and has plenty of blueberry and rhubarb fruit to take on rich braises or pizzas piled high with sausage.
