With its laborers’ homes huddled close by the chateau and the music of its fountain plating in the shade of the century-old plane trees on the village square, Pourcieux and its population of approximately eight hundred is a live vignette of the Provence of Frédéric Mistral… a charming village with its sun-drenched vineyards sretching to the foot of the Monts Aureliens, opposite Cézanne’s famed Mont Sainte-Victoire.
As is true of our white wines, in order to make the most of its fresh an lively fragrance, our rosé is best appreciated during the year following its vinification. When served moderately cool, between 10°C and 12°C, it is an ideal « apéritif », particularly appropriate with light meals : grills, white meat, terrine of scallops, soup of small red fruits. It goes without saying that this is a perfect accompaniment for provençale and asian cuisines.
White peach, tangerine, strawberry, and an exotic touch of mango on the perfumed nose. Juicy and expansive on the palate, offering fresh red berry, pit fruit, and citrus zest flavors that become firmer as the wine gains air. Closes long and focused, with the peach note repeating and a floral nuance coming in late.
