Jolie-laide Description
100% Grenache from the granite and limestone soils of the Gabilan Mountain Range in the Chalone appellation of Monterey County. The coastal influence and proximity to Monterey Bay combined with high elevations create a wide diurnal shift in the growing season, leading to a concentrated fruit profile while maintaining freshness and acidity. The fruit was foot-crushed and fermented whole-cluster before maturation in neutral barrique. Red-fruited with orange peel and spice aromas and chalky, fine tannins.
