Bloomer Creek Vineyard Description
The 2021 Riesling Pet-Nat is a blend of two Bloomer Creek vineyard sites - Auten Vineyard, a gently sloping site on the west side of Cayuga Lake first planted to Riesling in 1997, and Barrow Vineyard, a newer hillside site on the east side of Seneca Lake planted in 2013. The Barrow fruit was hand-harvested in early November and fermented on skins, with the Auten fruit harvested during the second week of November and pressed after a 7-day outdoor skin soak. The lots were blended and bottled the following spring without fining or filtration. The 2021 bottling is rich and textured in style with fresh acidity.
