This unique Pet Nat (Pétillant Naturel) is crafted exclusively from 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes, a variety renowned in its home region. Sourced from vineyards with beneficial southeast exposure in the Vasto production area of Abruzzo, these grapes thrive in well-drained sand and limestone soils. After manual harvest, the grapes are immediately pressed to achieve a delicate rosé hue, ideal for this style. The initial fermentation occurs in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, with the crucial second, sparkle-inducing fermentation taking place naturally within the bottle. The wine is then refined for an additional three months in bottle before release.
The result is a wonderfully refreshing and lively sparkling rose, bottled at 12.5% ABV. It entices with inviting aromas and flavors of freshly picked strawberries and ripe raspberries, complemented by a subtle, intriguing hint of sweet almond.
