No Es Pituko Pais Rose 2023 offers a captivating and wonderfully textural expression of rose from the family-run Viña Echeverria in Chile's Maule Valley. The "No Es Pituko" line represents the winery's passion for crafting high-quality natural wines, embracing minimal intervention to showcase the purest character of the grape and its unique terroir, sourced from ancestral dry-farmed País vines.
This distinctive rose is crafted with a focus on natural processes. After being carefully hand-picked, the grapes undergo a cold skin maceration for four to five days, a key step that imparts its beautiful cloudy, raspberry pink color and textural depth. Fermentation is completed over 25 days in stainless steel tanks with only natural, indigenous yeasts. True to its minimal intervention philosophy, the wine is bottled without stabilization, filtration, or any added sulfites, preserving its most authentic and vibrant state.
The result is a wine that is at once fresh, layered, and incredibly drinkable. The nose offers an intriguing mix of ripe strawberries, sweet pear, cherry, and marzipan.
